A short privacy note, because the site is deliberately simple

ThriftWren is a static publication. We do not collect personal information from readers, build profiles, or follow anyone around the web.

ThriftWren uses no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, cookies, accounts, comments, contact forms, or newsletter sign-ups. We do not collect, sell, rent, or share reader data because the site has no mechanism for us to receive it. You can read every article without identifying yourself to ThriftWren.

What this site does not collect

There are no reader accounts and no place to enter a name, email address, phone number, budget, bank detail, or payment information. We do not embed analytics scripts, social-media widgets, ad networks, session replay, fingerprinting, or behavioral measurement. ThriftWren does not set first-party cookies.

We also do not run affiliate tracking. Links to budgeting apps are ordinary links to official product homepages, not commission links. A company cannot tell us which reader followed one, and it does not pay us when someone visits, signs up, or buys a plan.

ThriftWren’s privacy setup
Feature Used here? What that means
Analytics No No audience profile or behavioral reports
Advertising pixels No No ad retargeting from our pages
Cookies No No preferences or identifiers stored by ThriftWren
Accounts or forms No No personal details submitted to us
Affiliate links No No purchase or referral commission tracking
External media No Images and styles are hosted on this site

Fonts and ordinary links

Pages request one font family, Caveat, from Google Fonts. When a browser loads that file, it connects to Google’s font service and sends technical request information such as an IP address and browser headers as part of ordinary internet delivery. ThriftWren does not receive that information. Readers can block remote fonts; the site falls back to local system type and remains fully usable.

Articles occasionally link to an app’s official homepage so a reader can verify current features or pricing. Following an external link leaves ThriftWren. The destination then applies its own privacy policy and may use cookies or analytics. We keep external links few, identify product links in context, and do not load those companies’ code inside our pages.

Hosting and technical delivery

Like any public website, a hosting or network provider may temporarily process an IP address, requested file, timestamp, and basic browser information to deliver pages, maintain security, or prevent abuse. ThriftWren does not operate a reader analytics dashboard, combine request data into profiles, or use it for advertising. Our editorial site receives no submitted personal data.

This distinction is worth making plainly: internet infrastructure must know where to send a requested page, but the publication does not add a tracking layer on top. We chose static HTML precisely to keep the data surface small and understandable.

Children, financial details, and sensitive information

Nothing on the site asks a reader to provide information, including children’s information or financial details. Please do not send account numbers, bank statements, app credentials, or personal budgets in response to an article through unrelated channels. ThriftWren reviews tools and publishes general educational material; it does not provide individual account support.

Changes to this statement

If the site later adds a feature that collects information, this page will be updated before that feature launches. The effective date at the top will change, and the new section will explain what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and how to request deletion. We will not quietly convert old page visits into a marketing database.

As of August 5, 2026, the promise remains simple: no trackers, no ads, and no data collection by ThriftWren. Read more about the people and funding behind that choice on our about and editorial-integrity page, or return to the budgeting app guide.
